4.The Dawn of self consciousness
On a particular day , man looked into the sunset and as he watched the birth of self consciousness began. For the first time sunlight streamed into his unconscious via the pineal gland. He was now primitive cognitive man. He was no longer content to remain a part of the unconscious a growing restlessness urged him up towards the light, he had no idea where he was going only that he must go and find the truth behind his discontent. Outside on the earth the truth awaiting him was his physical body, unconscious and unknowing but fully functional and prepared to receive him the moment he could manage the enormous journey to ‘come to his senses’ The Pineal gland lies in the deepest and most protected area of the brain. Its precise function is something of a scientific mystery. Science has yet to discover that the mysterious pineal gland was the original seat of the consciousness of man. Although present in all animals with skulls there is another vital factor. There is a psychic membrane stretched across the back of all optical organs except for mans. This gives man;s vision a unique reflective factor which increases enormously the depth or significance of what he sees-hence perception and cognition. In the absence of this veil,
on a particular day around 200,000 years ago, primitive man watched the sun rise and was never to be the same again. IN the evolution of the species, this veil was tom shield the pineal gland from sunlight until a suitable animal body had been evolved on earth for the intelligence of man to enter.
